Holly began dancing at the age of three. She has trained extensively in many styles, including ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, Bollywood, hip hop, commercial and musical theatre. Holly has been teaching dance classes and private lessons since 2016 and attained her Ballet Teachers Diploma with AATPD in 2019. Throughout her competitive dance career, Holly received many accolades at regional, state, and national competitions.
Holly has a keen interest in musical theatre, making her debut in CATS with Melbourne City Ballet’s Youth Theatre in the role of Mungojerrie, then as a featured dancer and ensemble member in BLOC’s award winning production of Mamma Mia and more recently as Assistant Choreographer and performing the role of a Troll Doll in the Holiday Actors production of Shrek.
Holly’s training commenced at Dynamic Dance Ararat (formerly Donna’s Dance Studio), and was supplemented by training in the Intensive Training Program (ITP) at The Academy of Classical Ballet in Ballarat, the Origins Extensions Program at Transit and a host of other workshop and training opportunities across the state.
From 2020 to 2022, Holly completed her Diploma of Musical Theatre with Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance, where she received elite training in dance and musical theatre. As part of her studies, Holly performed in Little Shop of Horrors and Pyjama Game and theatrical performances inspired by Wild Party and Six The Musical. She also performed in the annual RAW showcase, Jack and the Kelly Aykers Triple Bill.
During 2022, Holly was cast in her first professional company, One Light, a contemporary show in Melbourne, directed by Loredo Malcom. This provided Holly with industry experience and further inspiration to create safe and inclusive performance spaces.
Holly has experience in judging dance, glee, aerobics and cheer competitions at regional and state level, with her work taking her out of Victoria, to South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. She provides extensive artistic and technical feedback for teams, duos/trios and soloists.
Holly is the Principal and Founder of Artistic Motion, which provides workshops, choreography and dance opportunities to performers across the state. Holly is a passionate performing artist who aspires to foster a love of dance and the enjoyment it brings. She strives to create a safe and encouraging environment, where students can explore their own passion for movement, whilst continuing to develop both their artistic and technical skills.
