Ballet

The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus (RAD is an internationally recognised organisation) is utilised in all Primary, Ballet Fun, Junior Ballet, Elementary Ballet and Intermediate Ballet classes, and a clearly defined programme of work can be achieved in one year through teaching progressions that are added at appropriate times in a pattern of logical development.

Jeté! Exploring Dance recognises that each child is an individual requiring individual physical and psychological attention and aims to make learning become easy, rewarding and a great joy.

Examinations are not held for any dance class; however a ‘Certificate of Attainment’ will be awarded to each student after a mid-year assessment.  The School emphasises the importance for children to understand and use the elements of dance, co-ordination and expressiveness in ways appropriate to the standard of achievement expected, rather than just testing whether or not a student knows the examination syllabus.  Jeté! Exploring Dance believes that students should not be regarded as ‘passes’ or ‘failures’ in examinations, but rather as children who love to dance and who work to achieve both technically and creatively throughout the whole year’s work.

All classes are taught by fully qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about dance and are committed to providing individual attention in a welcoming and non-competitive learning environment.
